The Helle Nipa builds on Helle's classic Kletten folder in a slightly larger size, with room for a full four-finger grip in medium-sized hands. Introduced in 2022, it is the only folder in the Helle line-up that comes with a detachable pocket clip, making it a true everyday carry knife.
The 2.72" drop point blade is Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel with a Scandinavian (scandi) grind, sharp right out of the box and easy to maintain. It opens with a nail nick and locks open with a sturdy lockback mechanism.
The hand-sanded curly birch handle is warm, grippy and well proportioned, and every one shows its own grain figure. The Nipa ships without a sheath; it is meant to ride clipped in your pocket and get used. Handmade in Holmedal, Norway.
