Johnny Slicks is a Bitchin Product that I will continue to use as long as it's available. And, the fragrance....I never smelled anything like it. Sometimes I just open the container up and take a whiff. When I first put just the smallest dab on my hands with a little water, and massaged it on my head, I walk by my wife and she totally noticed and  was just wowed at the fragrance. She asked what is was and I told her "Johnny Slicks", and she loved it because my name is Johnny, And now I'm Slick

Johnny Slicks is an amazing product. No flaking, no sticky or gummy feel, and even looks better as the day goes on. Absolutely perfect for my thick and curly hair.

Good product for a light hold

This product is amazing, I have mid length very straight hair and this product gives the exact look I was looking for. A wet wavy look that lasts all day, and the product smells amazing. It is truly one of a kind because I have tried everything.

I’ve been using the pomade so far for a week, and I’ve really been enjoying it. The hold is definitely light, but it allows you to easily restyle it, a pompadour . With my job I often have to wear a helmet with a liner, and stiffer pomades like suavacito the pomade will still get messed up, but there was no fixing it.I see that a lot of the negative reviews was people complain about it being hard to wash out and buildup, I looked into it and it seems to just be how oil based pomades work. I used a combo of products that I looked up how up to on google. Once doing that set of steps it was completely out of my hair.My only complaint is I wish the fragrance wasn’t so strong, I’ll try rugged next.

This is the best pomade I have ever used. It leaves your hair free of residue, isn't too heavy for an oil-based pomade, and washes out easily. I’ve used Suavecito Pomade, Reuzel, and O'Douds Classic Pomade, and this is definitely the best one I’ve tried—plus, it doesn't damage your hair.

Great scent! I got the “Rugged” fragrance and really like it—manly, bold, and not overpowering. It is a bit pricey, but you only need a small amount, so it lasts a long time. Definitely worth it.

Awesome product. I love the smell of the rugged but the original is great too. It lasts all day and washes out easily. It leaves my hair feeling moisturized and can be used as a skin balm as well. A little goes a long way so I don’t find myself buying it as much as the water based stuff.

I like that this product is not sticky and provides a soft hold without looking slick or like plastic. I also like that it’s produced by a veteran owned company, using American workers in America. I’d rather my money go to companies like this than other alternatives.

The pros out weigh the cons. This is probably the best u will get when it comes to very simple ingredients. The pros it smells great, holds better than I would of thought of a minimal ingredient pomade. Only 4 ingredients with bees waxing being what holds it. Cons does not complete or hold like water suitable pomade. It is very difficult to wash out this pomade and leaves your body sticky after rinsing it out with soap. I normally use viking revolution which I would say is the best of the best for the price but it has a very long ingredients list and could be putting who knows what into your scalp. I now use the Jonny slicks during the week holds decent enough not great but use the viking revolution when I have a special occasion because I know it will hold the entire time. Overall happy with the purchase and will prob buy again

Honestly, this is not a bad product. I cannot tell you how many different pomade’s I have used, and I do have my preferences, but I wanted to step out of my comfort zone a little bit this time.The smell of this is fantastic. I thought my usual pomade was the best smelling one, but this is just as good. And it’s not strong at all, I don’t get why I’ve seen more than one person say it gives them a headache. This is a pleasant natural scent with not a whole lot of projection on it.Second, everyone keeps saying it’s greasy. What did you expect? It’s oil based. And yeah, it’s a little greasy but it’s nowhere near as greasy as you folks made it sound.I got Johnny slicks because I go for a “greased” look. I can’t understand why someone would buy this product if they didn’t want a slick shiny product in their hair lol.The reason I went with this product is because I usually use a water-based pomade from another company. And water-based pomade, in the current freezing temperature, basically turn into a brick on my head. I wanted a product that would still be pliable in the cold, and not crunchy helmet head. So this product has thus far delivered on what I was looking for.People are complaining about the hold. It literally said low/medium hold on it. And that’s going to depend on 1. Your hair and 2. The amount of product you use.I guess if you’re considering Johnny slicks original oil based pomade…you need to first decide what you want your hair to actually look like. If you want a dry looking silky hold, then no, this isn’t the product for you. If you have long hair, no, this isn’t really going to keep your hair in place.If you’re trying to slick back your hair and have a nice shine to it but you also don’t want helmet head, as i do, I recommend this product.Will purchase again, and we will see how it holds up in the heat, I doubt it will hold very well, so I may have to go back to my other product in the summertime
